Open casting call for extras in feature film Indian Road Trip

MERRITT – Anyone looking for time on the big screen has a chance to snag a role as an extra in a feature film being shot in the region.

Indian Road Trip, began filming yesterday, May 24 in Merritt and the Nicola Valley and producers need to fill a number of extra roles.

The film is a comedy inspired by life growing up on a reservation. Allan Hopkins, winner of last year’s B.C.’s Got Talent Spotlight, is the writer and will direct and produce the film.

Anyone interested in playing an extra in the film should meet at 2811 Shackelly Rd. at 5 p.m. on the following days:

• Today, May 25, crews are looking for three Caucasian men and three Caucasian women aged 25 to 50 years old.
• Saturday, May 27 is the open call for First Nations girls aged 15 to 20 years old. Six girls will be cast.
• Thursday June 1 and Friday June 2, crews are looking for six First Nations youth aged six to 12 years old. They will be riding bikes and skateboards.
