UPDATE: Thunder Bay man missing near West Kelowna located

WEST KELOWNA – RCMP say the 59-year-old Thunder Bay man who went missing and was last seen at Okanagan Lake Resort near West Kelowna yesterday, May 28, has been located, and he is safe and sound.

"The RCMP wish to thank all those involved in the initial ground search in rural West Kelowna," Cpl. Jesse O'Donaghey says in a media release. "We'd also like to extend our gratitude to those who participated in the extended search efforts lead by the dedicated volunteers of Central Okanagan Search and Rescue."

All personal information about the missing person has been removed from this story.

WEST KELOWNA – A 59-year-old Thunder Bay man has been missing since yesterday.

“A decision was made by investigators to activate Central Okanagan Search and Rescue crews who attended the scene,” Corporal Jesse O’Donaghey says in a press release. “Search and rescue crews searched for hours, before suspending search efforts late in the evening.”
