Man calls RCMP from inside his trailer as it was stolen in Kamloops, B.C.

KAMLOOPS, B.C. – More than just a truck and trailer were reported stolen from a hotel parking lot in Kamloops, B.C., early Monday morning.

The thieves also made off with the owner, who was inside the trailer at the time of the theft.

The owner called police immediately to report the crime.

But RCMP Cpl. Cheryl Bush says officers had a difficult time finding the truck and trailer because the man didn’t know where he was.

The owner was eventually able to provide a landmark to help police pinpoint his location.

Mounties say the truck was found a short time later, and while the owner was OK, the suspect or suspects were long gone.(CFJC)
