UPDATE: Severe thunderstorm watch ended for South Thompson, Nicola

KAMLOOPS – The severe thunderstorm watch for the South Thompson and Nicola regions has ended.

Environment Canada says conditions are no longer favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms.

KAMLOOPS – A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the South Thompson and Nicola regions.

Conditions are favourable today, May 30, for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain, Environment Canada says.

The watch says strong winds can cause damage to weak buildings, can can break branches off trees and overturn vehicles.
