PENTICTON – Penticton RCMP's Targeted Enforcement Unit recovered a number of stolen motorcycles and made an arrest in the course of several visits to a Marron Valley Road home last week.
Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth said members of the unit attended the Marron Valley property on May 23, recovering two stolen motorcycles and three stolen dirt bikes.
Two were stolen out of Penticton, one from Calgary, one from Langley and one from Kelowna.
Police returned to the address on May 25, with the intention of arresting Darryn Nelson for outstanding warrants. Police witnessed him drive away from the property on a dirt bike at a high rate of speed.
He was not pursued.
On May 26, police visited the address once again, this time successfully arresting Nelson for his outstanding warrants, and additional counts of driving while prohibited and flight from police.
