Brace yourselves, severe thunderstorm watch issued for Okanagan and Shuswap

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the Okanagan and Shuswap this morning.

Environment Canada issued the watch this morning, May 31, and it means conditions are favourable for the development of severe storms. These storms could bring strong winds, hail and torrential rainfall.

Heavy rain may cause flash floods and water to pool on roads in regions already dealing with high floodwaters.
