Teen attacks another with bear spray at Kal Beach
COLDSTREAM – A recent incident at Kalamalka Lake proves that teenagers, alcohol and bear spray don’t mix.
RCMP say on the evening of May 29, around 6 p.m., a 17-year-old woman called 911 to report a stranger used bear spray on her 19-year-old boyfriend on the dock at Kal Beach in Coldstream.
Police arrested the suspect, a 15-year-old boy from Alberta, for public intoxication, according to an RCMP media release. He was taken to cells and was released when he sobered up.
The victim and witness refused to offer a statement to police regarding the incident.
Police say there were no injuries and ambulance care was declined.
