Historical plaque stolen from Kamloops Memorial Arena

KAMLOOPS – A plaque that had been on display at the Memorial Arena in Kamloops since 1949 is missing and officials want answers.

Memorial, historical, and commemorative plaques are going missing across the city and police haven’t nailed down a culprit, according to Kamloops and District Crime Stoppers.

Memorial Arena staff noticed it was missing on the morning of April 13, so the theft likely happened the night before.

Last month several memorial plaques around town were also taken.
