KAMLOOPS – A brief thunderstorm hit Kamloops this afternoon and it didn't take long to get Kamloopsians talking.
Shortly after 2 p.m. thunder could be heard downtown and then the lightning and rain started, quickly soaking anyone who was caught outside while those in the safety of the indoors took to Twitter to document the storm.
For a couple hours Enivornment Canada warned severe thunderstorms could hit the entire Thompson-Okanagan region but by just after 4 p.m. said Kamloops was in the clear, though rain and thunderstorms could still occur before this evening and again tomorrow afternoon.
