VIDEO: Moose calf helped out of barbed wire at Big White

KELOWNA – A video shared on social media captured the moment a group of people helped a moose calf out of some barbed wire.

The little moose appears the have gotten stuck when trying to climb through a fence yesterday, June 2, in the video shared on Facebook by Wayne Dorman. After some pleading braying and the young moose is freed, only to turn back and climb through the fence again nearly getting stuck.

In his Facebook post Dorman writes that he was with a group near Big White Ski Resort when the encounter occurred. The video doesn’t show her, but in the bushes nearby the mother moose is watching and when the little moose is freed it runs towards her.
