West Kelowna mayor seeking third term

WEST KELOWNA – Doug Findlater has announced he will seek his third term as mayor of West Kelowna in the upcoming election.

First elected six years ago, Findlater has been on the West Kelowna District Council since incorporation.

According to a press release sent Monday morning, “Doug is seeking re-election because he believes that the next years are critical in maintaining the current momentum of delivering good governance that will continue to define West Kelowna. His platform is based on the conviction that council must remain focused on implementing the Master Plans that have been established by community involvement and at the same time council must uphold good governance and administration, advocate economic development and maintain the urban infrastructure standards and character of West Kelowna.”

Findlater will unveil his platform in full October 2 at Volcanic Hills Estate Winery.

Elections take place November 15.
