Hotel staff in Kamloops, B.C., find body several days after man’s death
KAMLOOPS, B.C. – Housekeeping staff at a hotel in downtown Kamloops, B.C., made a gruesome discovery as they cleaned a room in that southern Interior city.
RCMP Staff Sgt. Grant Learned says a man, believed to be the registered occupant of the room, has been found dead.
Learned says the body had been there for several days and although decomposition had begun, major crimes investigators were able to conclude there is no immediate sign of foul play.
The body was found Thursday afternoon and Learned says the victim was last seen around Tuesday when a staff member at the Crossroads Inn and Suites helped the extremely intoxicated man to his room.
Police are still waiting to make a positive identification.
The coroner is now assisting with the case, but there is no word, yet, how the man died. (CHNL)
