Log jam on the North Thompson river

KAMLOOPS – High water on the North Thompson has ripped debris from riverbanks and caused a log jam under the train bridge parallel to the Halston Avenue Bridge.

A CN crane was parked on the train bridge plucking large logs from the jam this morning, June 8, at 10:15 a.m.

Gary Price has lived in Kamloops since 1977 and says he's never seen anything like it.

He was out for a walk and spotted the jam and says it stretched across more than half of the length of the bridge.
