KELOWNA – Police are trying to find the owner of an abandoned mobility scooter, left on a Rutland area sidewalk last week.
Mounties heard of the abandoned scooter shortly before 1 p.m. Aug. 29. It was left on Baron Road, behind the Canadian Tire, likely because of a battery or mechanical failure. It hasn't been reported stolen.
The scooter is a red and black Shoprider. It was seized by police after attempts to find the owner were exhausted.
To claim the scooter call Kelowna RCMP Const. Rogers at 250-762-3300 and be ready to present proof of ownership.
