Three empty homes destroyed by suspicious fires in Delta, B.C.
DELTA, B.C. – Three homes have been destroyed or damaged within a week in Delta, B.C., and police say there’s cause for concern.
Police say they were called early Thursday morning to a report of a house fire in the suburb of Tsawwassen and it was fully engulfed in flames by the time officers arrived.
Police say the house had already been damaged on Monday in another fire that destroyed a neighbouring home and heavily damaged another next door.
All three properties were abandoned and had been slated for demolition.
Police spokeswoman Cris Leykauf says a second suspicious fire this week in Tsawwassen is “very concerning” to police.
Leykauf says Delta police are actively pursuing tips and have devoted “considerable resources” to the investigation.
