Penticton beach cleanup a big success
PENTICTON – The City of Penticton reports great success in today’s beach clean up.
Mark Parker with the City says there was a great turnout today, June 21, after a call for volunteers went out last week to help clean spring runoff debris from Marina Beach and the dog beach at Okanagan Lake Park.
The beaches were some of the hardest hit, but didn't lend themselves to heavy equipment, so a hands on approach was a necessity.
