Cornerback Pat Watkins reclaims starting spot in Argonauts’ secondary

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – It didn’t take Pat Watkins long to reclaim his starting job with the Toronto Argonauts.

Despite missing all of training camp dealing with a personal matter, the lanky cornerback will start Friday night against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Rogers Centre.

Watkins was a CFL all-star last year but could only watch Toronto win the 100th Grey Cup due to injury.

He will be just one of five returnees to the Toronto defence that faced Calgary in the Grey Cup game.

Prior to Friday’s contest, the Argos will unfurl their Grey Cup banner.
