ELIZABETH, N.J. – A school bus has overturned on a ramp near a bridge connecting New Jersey and New York City.
Police say it happened around 4 p.m. Thursday on the New Jersey Turnpike near the Goethals Bridge, connecting the city of Elizabeth and Staten Island.
Police say all of the occupants were able to get off the bus and any injuries appear to be minor.
Video shows the bus on its side with its front end mangled.
Several ambulances and rescue vehicles responded to the scene. It wasn’t clear where the bus originated.
The bus hood has a Hebrew logo for the Mevakshei Hashem Yeshiva, a school in Brooklyn. A woman who picked up the phone at the school’s administrative office said they had no details about the bus crash.
