KAMLOOPS – School is back in session, and that means Thompson Rivers University as well.
Students filled the campus for orientation and the annual Welcome Back Barbecue. In between they took in their first few days of classes.
On Friday thousands of students packed the campus for an afternoon of free food and information. Meanwhile, staff tried to figure out how to keep the hungry students happy as a 'bun crisis' forced the hundreds of students waiting in line for hot dogs and hamburgers to wait even longer. One staff member wasn't sure exactly what happened to the buns and why they didn't have any but said he hoped they showed up soon. Live music combined with many booths and activities kept everyone entertained.
