Fan Expo Canada adds 12 to lineup, including Carrie Fisher, Zachary Quinto

TORONTO – Fans of cinema’s space crusaders will no doubt get starry-eyed by the latest additions to Fan Expo Canada.

Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in “Star Wars,” and Zachary Quinto, fresh off his appearance as Spock in J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek: Into Darkness,” will appear at the Toronto convention.

Shock rock icon Alice Cooper, “Futurama” star Katey Sagal, “World War Z” author Max Brooks and Luke Perry and Jason Priestley of “Beverly Hills 90210” are also among the 12 new additions to the already packed lineup appearing Aug. 22-25 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

The Expo previously announced that ’80s beefcake David Hasselhoff, “Castle” star Nathan Fillion, Marvel Comics mastermind Stan Lee, “Game of Thrones” star Lena Headey, “Star Trek” fixture George Takei, “Homeland” actress Morena Baccarin and former “Lois & Clark” star Dean Cain would take part in the multidisciplinary opportunity for fans to meet their celebrity idols.

Meanwhile, Hogan is among a group of athletes who will be attending the first-ever Fan Expo Sports, taking place concurrently with the primary event.

Sports legends who will be present include Boston Bruins great Bobby Orr, Toronto Blue Jays hall of famer Roberto Alomar, star San Francisco 49ers quarterback Joe Montana and Detroit Red Wings icon Gordie Howe.

Also appearing on the sports side will be former Colorado Avalanche forward Joe Sakic, goaltending legend Martin Brodeur and former Blue Jays stalwarts Rickey Henderson and Paul Molitor.

Single-day passes for the event range in price from $25-50, while all-inclusive passes for the entire four-day event begin at $115.
