Vancouver homeowner confronts naked intruder making eggs in kitchen

VANCOUVER – You may have heard of the movie “Naked Lunch,” but police say it was a naked dinner that led to a man’s arrest in Vancouver.

Police say a homeowner walked into his east Vancouver residence on Tuesday night to find a naked man making himself some eggs.

The intruder took off when the homeowner confronted him, but he was arrested a short distance away.

Police believe the suspect was in the house for about 25 minutes and even had a shower before making his way into the kitchen.

Police say the incident should serve as a warning for homeonwers to lock their doors and windows, especially with the recent warm weather.

A 30-year-old Burnaby man is expected to be charged with being unlawfully in a home.
