Boat left with gaping hole in hull after part of motor stolen
PENTICTON – A boat owner was left with a gaping hole where his stern drive used to be after thieves cut through a fence on a Vees Drive property sometime over last weekend, June 30 to July 2.
Penticton RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth said the thief, or thieves, took the stern drive, the outboard portion of an inboard-outboard motor, from a 1998 Bayliner boat.
Two stainless steel propellers were also taken with the Mercruiser Bravo 3 stern drive.
Police are investigating.
