Man found dead under bridge identified

VERNON- The B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who was found dead under a bridge on Sept. 2, 2013.

He was Ronald Ian Wilson, aged 55, of Vernon.

Wilson was found unresponsive in an outdoor area underneath the bridge that crosses Vernon Creek on 25th Avenue late in the afternoon of Sept. 2. He was transported by ambulance to hospital immediately, but could not be resuscitated.

The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death. Foul play has now been ruled out.
