AAA survey finds retail gasoline prices in Texas up 4 cents

COPPELL, Texas – Retail gasoline prices across Texas are up 4 cents this week to reach an average $2.01 per gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the nationwide price at the pump also rose 4 cents to an average $2.25 per gallon.

The association survey found San Antonio has the cheapest gasoline in Texas this week at $1.95 per gallon. Drivers in Texarkana are paying the most statewide at an average $2.07 per gallon.

Association experts say gasoline prices in parts of the U.S. continued their upward momentum in the wake of a Colonial Pipeline leak repaired two weeks ago, as well as refinery maintenance and disruptions related to Hurricane Matthew.
