Kamloops businesses stepping up to help wildfire evacuees

KAMLOOPS – The business community in Kamloops is rallying around evacuees displaced from the wildfires burning around B.C.

The Kamloops Chamber of Commerce says on its Facebook page a number of businesses are offering what they can to evacuees staying in the city.

Businesses are offering evacuees everything from free pizza to free showers at a local gym.

"Many others are donating free food and new items," the Chamber says in its post.

The Chamber is encouraging people to add the name of their business and what they are offering to the Facebook thread.
