Injured Bomber d-lineman Bryant Turner expects to be back in action soon

WINNIPEG – Blue Bomber defensive lineman Bryant Turner had a few scary moments in Montreal last week.

He had five tackles, including three sacks, and forced a fumble in the 19-11 win over the Alouettes.

But after his last hit he had trouble breathing, was put on oxygen and was rushed to a hospital.

He said it was a pretty scary experience but after spending the night all tests came back negative and he only has some strained ligaments.

He will miss Saturday’s game in Guelph against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and late cut Marquis Frazier has been called back to take his place.

Turner was named the CFL’s defensive player of the week for his performance against Montreal.
