Report: 21 people hospitalized after condominium deck collapses

OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C. – More than 20 people are hospitalized in North Carolina after the second-story deck on condominium in Ocean Isle Beach collapsed onto a concrete patio below.

WECT (http://bit.ly/15cMf1D ) reports that 21 people were transported to hospitals Tuesday evening after the structure gave way.

Anthony Marzano, the director of emergency services for Brunswick County, says the injuries included cuts and broken bones but that none were life-threatening.

An Ocean Isle official says the home is a private residence that was being rented.
