Transit cops face more charges including public mischief, fabricating evidence

VANCOUVER – An investigation into two Transit Police officers initially charged with assault has led to further charges against the pair in connection with an incident at a SkyTrain station in Vancouver.

Transit Police spokeswoman Anne Drennan says Constables Bruce Shipley and Alfred Wong are now charged with public mischief, breach of trust and fabrication of evidence.

The charges follow a criminal investigation by the Vancouver Police Department.

Drennan says new information led to more charges related to the pair’s alleged action in February 2012.

Shipley and Wong have been on administrative duties since they were first charged last August.
