Hockey stars among hundreds saying goodbye to influential agent Don Baizley

WINNIPEG – Teemu Selanne, Anders Hedberg and a host of NHL stars past and present paid tribute to agent Don Baizley on Wednesday.

They joined hundreds who attended a memorial service at centre ice in the MTS Centre, the home of the Winnipeg Jets.

Baizley brought Selanne to the NHL.

As he entered the arena, Selanne said he was far more than just an agent.

Baizley died of cancer two weeks ago in Winnipeg.

The players he represented said he was a wise counsellor and friend and like no other agent they knew.
