Okanagan winery earns perfect score at international wine competition

KELOWNA – Okanagan wines continues to impress on the global stage, with a local winery recently winning a double gold medal at the 2017 San Francisco International Wine Competition.

Summerhill Pyramid Winery’s 2013 small lot semillon icewine earned a perfect score of 100 at the international wine competition, according to the winery's Facebook page.

The 37th annual wine competition was held June 30 through July 2, with 4,200 entries in various categories from 31 countries around the world.

You can try the award winning icewine for $95 a bottle.

Earlier this year, Summerhill Pyramid Winery won gold and was at the top of the top 10 list for its 2014 Chardonnay ice wine at the 24th annual Chardonnay du Monde in Burgandy, France.
