Meeting planned for evacuees of wildfire north of Princeton

PRINCETON – An evacuee meeting is planned for today for people displaced by the wildfire burning north of Princeton.

The meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Riverside Community Centre in Princeton at 148 Old Hedley Rd. and organized by the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen. All evacuation alerts and orders issued earlier this month are still in place for the area.

The order covers around 350 homes while alerts cover another 257 properties. An interactive map of the area can be found here.

The emergency support services reception centre is located at the same community centre an runs daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until further notice. Volunteers are still sought for paperwork a the centre.
