Skaha Beach was turned into a dragon boat town this weekend with dozens of tents and thousands of athletes.
The 2013 Raymond James Penticton Dragon Boat Festival is more than just a competition stocked with hard-core athletes who carried paddles in sheaths on their backs.
It was also a time to celebrate as athletes and guests danced, dressed up in silly outfits and shook hands. There was even a photo cut-out in the adults-only area where beer was sold and many took the time to stick their heads through the holes to be photographed.
Saturday's and Sunday's results have already been posted online at GO Rowing and Paddling Association.
