Wildfire evacuee suffers vehicle break and enter in Penticton
PENTICTON – A person fleeing wildfires in the province received a disappointing welcome to Penticton last week.
Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says a Williams Lake resident reported a theft from his vehicle, parked in the 3000 block of South Main Street overnight last Tuesday, July 11.
A suitcase containing clothing and shoes, and some change, was taken from his Honda Accord which had been left unlocked.
He had been recently evacuated due to the wildfires burning in the Williams Lake area.
