Truck takes out several power poles in Valleyview

KAMLOOPS – This truck has a lot of power.

The tractor-trailer unit appears to have taken out several power poles in the Valleyview area early this morning, July 22.

A witness on scene says it looked like the truck hit one power pole, then pulled down two others just off the Trans Canada Highway near Glenwood Drive. Despite the destruction, B.C. Hydro says it only knocked out power to five customers at 4 a.m.

B.C. Hydro crews were on-site this morning trying to restore power and repair the poles.
