Gore site owner charged for posting dismemberment video in Luka Magnotta case
EDMONTON – Police have charged the owner of an Edmonton website for carrying grisly video at the centre of the Luka Magnotta murder case.
Mark Marek, who operates bestgore.com, faces one count of corrupting morals.
Police allege that Marek, who is 38, knew the video sent to him depicted a real killing when he posted it online.
Marek is to appear in court Thursday.
Magnotta is to stand trial in September for the murder and dismemberment of university student Jun Lin.
Parts of Lin’s body were mailed across Canada in a gruesome killing that made headlines around the world.
