DURANGO, Colo. – The Latest on a funeral in Colorado for a Blue Angels pilot killed in a crash (all times local):
3:30 p.m.
A private service has been held for a Blue Angels pilot who was killed in a crash while practicing for an air show.
The service for Marine Capt. Jeff Kuss was capped by a 21-gun salute and a flyover by Marine units that he served with before he joined the Blue Angels flight demonstration team in nearly two years ago.
The governor ordered flags to be flown at half-staff to honour the Durango native who graduated from Durango High School in 2002 and Fort Lewis College in 2006.

A funeral procession is underway in Colorado for a Blue Angels pilot who was killed in a crash while practicing for an airshow.
People waved flags and others stood at attention as the body the body of 32-year-old Marine Capt. Jeff Kuss headed for a private burial ceremony in Durango on Saturday.
The ceremony will include a flyover by the Checkerboards, Kuss’ unit before joining the Blue Angels.
Kuss was killed while practicing for an airshow near Nashville, Tennessee, on June 2.
Kuss is survived by his wife and two young children.

A private burial ceremony for a Blue Angels pilot who was killed in a crash while practicing for an airshow is scheduled Saturday in Colorado.
The body of 32-year-old Marine Capt. Jeff Kuss arrived Friday on the Blue Angels’ C-130 Hercules transport plane.
Residents are expected to line the streets to honour the Durango native as the motorcade passes through the city.
The ceremony also will include a flyover by the Checkerboards, Kuss’ unit before joining the Blue Angels.
Kuss was killed while practicing for an airshow near Nashville, Tennessee, on June 2.
Kuss is survived by his wife and two young children.
