RCMP say arson behind Penticton truck fire

PENTICTON – Last weekend a truck went up in flames in Penticton, now police are investigating it as arson and are looking for tips from the public.

Police were called to the scene in the 600 block of Victoria Drive in Penticton at about 10:38 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, according to an RCMP release.

Crews found a white Ford F150 on fire and after investigations, confirm it was intentionally set on fire.

The blaze did not affect any nearby houses, police say.

Anyone with information on this incident or anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious on Sunday, July 23 in the area of Victoria Drive, is asked to contact the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300 or via Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
