
Mission sportsfield hosts Terry Fox Run this Sunday
KELOWNA – The beautiful sunny weather is expected to stick around this Sunday as runners and walkers of all ages, their pets included, meet for the 33rd annual Terry Fox Run.
The Kelowna community is invited to celebrate the life and activism of Terry Fox by joining the race and raising money for cancer research. Registration takes place at 10 a.m. Sunday Sept. 15, one hour before the race starts at 11 a.m.
Participants can choose between a 1.5, 5 or 9 km walk, run or bike.
The event takes place at the Mission Sportsfield on Gordon Drive and Lexington Road where there will be post-race festivities including a barbeque and kids activities.
Volunteers are also needed and can sign up by emailing terryfoxrunkelowna@gmail.com.
