Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace, rail equipment. Up three cents, or 1.52 per cent, to $2 on 8.6 million shares.
Twin Butte Energy Ltd. (TSX:TBE). Oil and gas. Up 1.5 cents, or 21.43 per cent, to 8.5 cents on 8.3 million shares.
Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Unchanged at $5.62 on 7.3 million shares.
First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Miner. Up six cents, or 0.70 per cent, to $8.66 on 6.6 million shares.
Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Oil and gas. Down five cents, or 0.48 per cent, to $10.36 on 6.6 million shares.
Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Down three cents, or 0.54 per cent, to $5.50 on 6.2 million shares.
Companies reporting major news:
National Bank of Canada (TSX:NA). Bank. Down 32 cents, or 0.74 per cent, to $43.20 on 1.3 million shares. National Bank posted second-quarter net income of $210 million or 52 cents a share, down from $404 million or $1.13 a share a year earlier. The Montreal-based bank, Canada’s sixth largest, attributed the drop to a $183-million provision for credit losses for oil and gas producers and service companies.
