Run for the Cure at Marshall Fields

VERNON – The annual fundraising effort for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation goes Sunday morning in Vernon.

Marshall Fields on Okanagan Landing Road is the new location for the 23-year for the CIBC Run for the Cure.

Registration and donation drop-off is at 8:30 a.m. with opening ceremonies at 9:30 a.m.

The event features a warm-up at 9:45 a.m. with the one or five kilometre walk or run beginning at 10 a.m. It's expected to wrap up at 11 a.m. when the prizes are handed out.

The money raised goes to fund research, awareness and education. All the proceeds stay in B.C.
