Kamloops Fire and Rescue at scene of grass fire

KAMLOOPS – Another fire has been reported in the area, this time right in the city.

In a press release today, July 29, the Kamloops RCMP have confirmed a grass fire in the 700 block of Shuswap Road. Kamloops Fire Rescue are at the scene to contain the blaze.

Staff Sgt. Edward Preto stated that there would be road closures in the area for several hours.

The RCMP did not state the size of the fire or if there were any injuries.
