Canada hammers England 24-2 at under-19 lacrosse world championships
COQUITLAM, B.C. – Riley Curtis, Ryan Lanchbury and Treton Leclaire each scored four times as Canada hammered England 24-2 on Saturday at the under-19 lacrosse world championships.
Jeff Teat added three goals and four assists, Ryland Reese and Ben French each scored twice while Jonathan Donville, Tanner Cook, Justin Inacio, Jackson Suboch and Thomas Semple added the others for the Canadians (1-1), who dropped their tournament opener to the United States 12-5 on Thursday.
Joseph Cara and Austin Hudson were the lone scorers for England (0-2), which has been outscored 46-6 in two games.
Canada’s Caelahn Bullen and Kyle Hebert split goaltending duties, with each getting beat once.
Canada’s next game is on Sunday against the Iroquois Nationals (1-0). The Iroquois Nationals dismantled England 22-4 to open their tournament.
