KAMLOOPS – The forecast for the next seven days is calling for the hottest, driest weather of the summer which won't help B.C.'s wildfire situation.

There is an air quality advisory is in effect as smoke fills the city. The UV index is expected to be very high reaching a level 8. The wind is predicted again this evening from the northwest. The temperature is expected to drop to 17 C overnight, under a smoky sky.

Tomorrow the forecast calls for sunny skies hidden by widespread smoke and a high of 34 C. The smoke is expected to clear overnight with a low of 16 C.

On Wednesday, temperatures should continue to climb, according to Environment Canada, and the day should be sunny with a high of 36 C. Temperatures drop overnight to 18 C, the predicted low.

Thursday should be the high this week with more sunshine and a high of 39 C during the day and low of 19 at night.

Friday is predicted to be hot, with a high of 37 C and overnight the temperatures will drop to 17 C.
