Drowning death in Oliver’s Tuc-El-Nuit Lake
OLIVER – Oliver police report the death of a man by drowning in Tuc-El-Nuit Lake in Oliver yesterday.
Oliver RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Blaine Gervais said in a press release issued today, Aug. 2, a 37-year-old man’s body was located in the lake Aug. 1, following reports of a man’s body seen in the water.
The man was seen entering the water earlier in the day, but not noted missing until later.
The man is believed to be a Mexican national and the death is not deemed suspicious.
Oliver RCMP and the B.C. Coroner Service are continuing their investigation into the drowning.
