TORONTO – Oscar-nominated actor Graham Greene, Olympic gold medallist Kaillie Humphries and Canuck country singer Michelle Wright have been added to the lineup for the upcoming Halo High Water benefit show, which will raise money to repair damage caused by June’s extensive flooding in the Calgary area.
They join an already packed lineup for the Aug. 4 event, to be held at Calgary’s Southern Jubilee Auditorium and broadcast on CBC-TV, CBC-Radio and APTN.
On the music side, confirmed performers for the fundraiser include Blue Rodeo co-frontman Jim Cuddy, multiple Juno winner Susan Aglukark, country singer George Canyon and Calgary singer/songwriter Paul Brandt.
The Alberta Ballet will perform two ballads while the event also promises appearances from “Heartland” stars Shaun Johnston and Graham Wardle as well as Metis actor and artist Tom Jackson.
Proceeds and donations will be directed to the Calgary Foundation’s flood rebuilding fund.
Tickets range in price from $55 to $150.
