Kamloops Run for the Cure raises over $105,000

KAMLOOPS – Another successful Run for the Cure is in the books with over $105,000 in the bank for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

Hundreds of people turned out for the annual fundraising event at Riverside Park.

According to the Foundation, one in nine Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer.

The Kamloops Blazers will be adding to the total with the Breast Cancer Night game on Oct. 24.

In our province, 97 per cent of women diagnosed with breast cancer are still alive after five years.
