VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Mercer International Inc. (MERC) on Thursday reported a second-quarter loss of $8.4 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had a loss of 13 cents per share.
The pulp company posted revenue of $341.2 million in the period.
Mercer International shares have decreased 37% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $7.78, a decline of 41% in the last 12 months.
