Man in Kamloops RCMP custody

KAMLOOPS – Criminal charges are being contemplated for the man responsible for an incident on Seymour St.

Today, Aug. 5, the police responded to an incident on the 500 Block of Seymour Street, according to an RCMP release.

The man was taken into custody after a brief stand off with police and charges are being contemplated.

The RCMP would like to thank the affected nearby residents for their cooperation, Kamloops Fire Rescue, BC Ambulance, Fortis BC, BC Hydro and Kamloops City Bylaws for their assistance in resolving this matter.
 
The police did not release any information about the incident or a description of the man.
