Canadian women play Switzerland to 0-0 tie in closed-door women’s soccer match
ROTA, Spain – Canada played to a 0-0 draw with Switzerland in a closed-door women’s soccer training match Thursday.
The Canadians, ranked fifth in the world, now turn their attention to an international friendly against No. 13 Norway on Jan. 22 in La Manga, Spain. Switzerland is ranked 18th.
Canada is scheduled to take part in the Algarve Cup, which kicks off in late February in Portugal.
The European camp and games are part of Canada’s preparations for this summer’s World Cup in France.
