Infotel Multimedia names former Sears executive as vice president of sales

Infotel Multimedia, one of the Thompson-Okanagan’s leading providers of marketing and advertising services, today announced that Peter Boyd joins the company as vice president of sales.

Most recently, Mr. Boyd was District Manager of Sears Canada Inc., where he was responsible for the retailer’s operations in 42 stores throughout British Columbia, Alberta and the Yukon, and led the company’s nationwide sales for six consecutive years. He created, oversaw and implemented strategies for Internet, retail store and catalogue sales, among other general management responsibilities.

Mr. Boyd brings a wealth of sales and management experience to Infotel’s senior management team, and will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing the company’s high-performance sales team.

“Peter is a strong communicator and his motivational skills and talents have propelled him to top sales and leadership roles throughout his 25-year career,” said Bonnie Derry, CEO of Infotel.

“He brings the experience we need to continue our growth serving those who work and live in the Thompson-Okanagan and Nicola Valleys.”

Infotel Multimedia, originally known as the leading provider of telephone directories serving nearly a half-million residents in its markets, has in recent years focused on delivering higher sales for area businesses by providing local news coverage for residents via its InfoNews.ca website.

While the company maintains both printed and on-line directories, Infotel's core business is designing and hosting affordable websites and local news coverage relevant to area residents and businesses.
